Hello! I am an undergrad student born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, currently on the journey to become an elementary school teacher. I’ve always had a passion for helping others and working with kids, so I cannot wait to one day have a classroom of my own and help children grow. When I’m not studying, you will find me reading a book, cooking, or listening to music (preferably at a concert). As well, as an admitted sports fanatic, I will spend most of nights feeding my addiction to hockey like a true Canadian by watching Vancouver Canucks games.
As a journalist, I hope to tell stories of my passions and interests through a critical lens. I believe our passions often reflect bigger conversations, so I want to use my writing to explore the deeper issues that lie beneath the surface. I aim to tell stories that are both personal and socially relevant.
